Our Camping Trip

So Terron and I decided to go camping at Indian Peaks for the weekend. We got all packed on friday afternoon and headed out. As soon as we got there it was cold, windy, and almost dark. We threw up our tent and pretty much just got settled before the weather turned awful.
We didn't get to do everything that we wanted, like call elk, pick pinenuts, etc but it was great to spend the weekend together with no interuptions. We spent a lot of time cuddling in the tent which was great!

This is what the weather was like the whole day and a half that we were out there. It rained and poured. We finally got smart and packed up late saturday night in about 3 minutes tops.

I was so proud of our little tent. It held up pretty good against all the horrible weather, and it only leaked a little water in.

Terron, Miley, and I posing in our camo before we go call elk.
This was the fire that took an hour to start after it rained all day and night. There was no wood that was dry so it took a while but we finally did it! Yay!

We put poor Miley in the back while we were riding around listening to conference. She got soaking wet so I made Terron stop and I brought her inside and put her in an empty tote. She was so happy to be out of the cold and the rain. She is a pretty big pansy and she doesn't like to be uncomfortable.

Cute Miley drying out in the tote.

Me trying out my .17 I haven't been shooting since I got my deer last year and I am still an amazing shot if I do say so myself.

The remains of the glass bottles I was practicing on. I was 3 for 3.

We forgot the binoculars so of course we just pulled out the scope. We however didn't end up seeing anything all weekend.

you are even better than me to go camping in a tent. Gage has wanted to take the kids and I have so far refused. I am spoiled and have to have my trailer.
